Greg Miller | “Unto Dust”

I came across this project by Greg Miller called “Unto Dust” and was instantly drawn to it, as I am with most religious — specifically Catholic — things. He has been photographing people in midtown Manhattan on every Ash Wednesday since 1997. As he says: “The beauty of Ash Wednesday in New York is that very ordinary people heading to the train, to work or to school, exercise the simple act of wearing their faith publicly and collectively this one day a year.” Fascinating.
