My Top 6 Selfies of 2014 Because Hell Yes, Self Love

Oh yeah. I am totally down for any movement like this. While I know that selfies can be thought of as obnoxious or vain or gratuitous (or all of the above), I personally think they’re fucking awesome. If someone feels great about themselves — whether it be a new lip color, a particularly good hair day, a favorite t-shirt, or any damn reason at all — I think they should show it off. Confidence is sexy, and it’s contagious. It’s inspiring. I took a metric ton of selfies this year and I’m proud. I’ve changed a ton since January 1st. I’ve traveled, I’ve worked my ass off, I’ve met new people, I’ve had life-changing experiences, I’ve become more outgoing, I’ve gained tattoos (I went from 2 to 8 this year alone), I changed my hair color. These selfies are a timeline for me, a physical token of my progress, and I can’t wait to keep it going.

I almost love how innocent I look here -- like I have no idea what I'm in for this year.

A photo that truly shows off my crazy eyes.

I love how natural this one feels to me -- freshly showered and still drying hair, my favorite dress, and a relaxed facial expression.

One of my absolute favorites -- love the pops of color and love my dimples!
